Privacy Policy: LiveDesk YouTube

Effective date: October 12, 2026 · Operator: Chase Coldwater for The Old Man Trading Desk · Contact: tacticalspreads@gmail.com

LiveDesk YouTube (the "App") is software that runs The Old Man Trading Desk live stream. It uses the YouTube API Services. By using the App, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Who uses the App

The App is used only by the channel owner to operate the show's own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public, and no one else signs in to it.

Google OAuth scopes requested

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube: to manage the show's own YouTube account.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl: to view and manage the show's YouTube account, including its live chat, over SSL.

What YouTube API data the App accesses, and why

Channel identity (channel title and channel ID, via channels.list with mine=true): to confirm the App is connected to the correct channel.
Live broadcast information (the active broadcast and its live chat ID, via liveBroadcasts.list): to find the chat for the show that is currently live.
Live chat messages on the show's own streams (author display name, channel ID and message text, via liveChatMessages.list): to surface viewer questions for the on-air hosts to answer. These answers are for entertainment only, never personal advice.
Chat moderation on the show's own streams (liveChatMessages.delete, liveChatBans.insert, liveChatModerators.insert): to remove spam, scams or abusive messages.

The App does not access viewers' private data, subscriptions, watch history, email addresses, or any channel other than the show's own.

Limited Use

The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

Google user data is used only to provide the features described above.
It is not sold.
It is not used for advertising, including retargeting or personalized or interest-based ads.
It is not used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
It is not used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
It is not transferred to third parties, except as needed to provide those features, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice.
No human reads it, except with consent, for security purposes, to comply with the law, or for the App's internal operations when the data is aggregated and anonymized.

Storage and sharing

OAuth tokens: stored only on the operator's own computer, in a local file with restricted permissions. They are never committed to source control or shared.
Chat messages: processed in memory to choose questions and moderate the chat. Message text from public chat may be read on air, just as it already appears publicly in YouTube chat.
No API data is sold or shared for any other purpose.

Retention and deletion

Chat data is not kept after it is processed. Any temporary logs are deleted within 30 days.
Channel identity data and tokens are kept only while the App is authorized. They are deleted when access is revoked or the App is retired.
Data stored by YouTube itself is retained by YouTube under the Google Privacy Policy.
To request deletion of any data the App holds about you, email tacticalspreads@gmail.com. Requests are handled within 30 days.

Revoking access

You can revoke the App's access at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Children

The App and the show are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page, with a new effective date.
